How You Taste Food.



HOW YOU TASTE FOOD.

Question/Interesting Fact:
Do you know that when you look at your tongue there are little bumps and they are called papillae?

How You Taste Parts Of The Tongue:
When you zoom closer to your tongue there are red blobs called papillae and your taste buds sit beside it and they contain tiny hair-like projections called microvilli to help you taste.

What Happens When You Have a Cold.
When you have a cold your snot starts to cover up your nose so that when you are eating food you can hardly taste anything because your nose helps you taste. So when you eat food the snot blocks the taste from getting to your olfactory receptors.

Conclusion/What did you learn.
I learnt that when you have a cold and you taste food the snot in your nose blocks the taste from getting to your olfactory receptors.
